I’ve been working with Amy and MadPower since it’s inception almost 6 years ago. That wasn’t the start of my extreme fitness addiction though. I first started working out in 2005 with full contact kickboxing. I even had a few amatuer knockouts! Deciding I was more of a lover not a fighter, I started working out with Amy in 2007 to lose weight. Actually who am I kidding, I just wanted to look good naked (isn’t that the truth for most of us?).

My first race ever was a full marathon after Amy told me that’s what I was going to do. When I finished I was hooked on that rush feeling of accomplishing something most people won’t. My second race was a 50 mile trail run that had mud and hills from hell, and I didn’t stop there. I wanted to see what else I could push myself to do. I have completed 3 full Ironmans, 3 ultramarathons, 2 Tough Mudders, and I’ve lost count of how many marathons, triathlons, mud runs, and other smaller races.

The love I have for that extreme sport is what keeps me coming to MadPower. There is truly NOTHING else like it out there. When I am teaching I will encourage you out of your comfort zone and show you how much more you are capable of. You may not agree with my music, and you may hate me at the time I’m loudly telling you to put on more weight, but when you finish you will experience that same rush of accomplishing something few ever will.

My philosophy: If you don’t challenge yourself, you won’t change yourself.
