I’ve completed six Ironman triathlons, raced the Boston Marathon, have had multiple age-group wins and top-five finishes in sprint-distance triathlons over the last ten years. I was age group winner and top 10 overall in the Madison Marathon at age 38.  In 2013 I was the overall female winner of a 50k race and a top 5 overall finisher (age group winner) in my first 50-mile ultra run. I followed that up a second 50 miler and a masters 50k win in 2014.

I grew up in Madison and my life revolved around playing competitive softball.
Unfortunately I faced several injuries, but it’s what lead me down the path to
become an Athletic Trainer (ATs are health care professionals who collaborate withphysicians. The services provided by ATs comprise prevention, emergency care, clinical diagnosis, therapeutic intervention, and rehabilitation of injuries and medical conditions). I attended Winona State University to earn my bachelor’sdegree in Athletic Training. After graduation, I interned at University of NewHampshire for one year before I attended Ohio University to achieve my Master’s Degree in Athletic Training...

Hi everyone! My name is Darci Johnson. Searching for a fitness routine that I truly enjoyed, I took my first MadPower class in December 2016. I was immediately hooked. The lights, the energy, the music, the entire vibe: It was one I connected with and a place where I knew I could reach my fitness goals. Through the instruction and guidance by the MadPower staff along with healthy eating, I have lost 80 pounds since I began this journey and have gained incredible mental and physical strength. I am proof that MadPower workouts are effective and that the results are sustainable...

Hi! I am Erin I just started to teach here at MadPower October 2014. I grew up the youngest of 3 girls. We have parents who pushed our tomboy side, I actually deer and turkey hunt. Sports were are life, I love anything with a ball (I told my husband up front I can throw a ball from Center field to home plate but have low expectations on cooking skills…he still asked).

I’ve been working with Amy and MadPower since it’s inception almost 6 years ago. That wasn’t the start of my extreme fitness addiction though. I first started working out in 2005 with full contact kickboxing. I even had a few amateur knockouts! Deciding I was more of a lover not a fighter, I started working out with Amy in 2007 to lose weight. Actually who am I kidding, I just wanted to look good naked (isn’t that the truth for most of us?)...

Hi, I’m Mayme! I joined Madpower in September of 2014 and have been obsessed ever since. The lights, heat, music, energy and super challenging workout is what has helped get me to get into the best shape of my life! I live here in Madison, work as a Registered Nurse, and am a mom of two girls. Thanks to MadPower I have the energy and stamina to push through busy days. I love being an instructor and helping motivate people to crush their goals and achieve what they think they cant. Lets get strong, come workout with us!

My yoga practice has helped me grow stronger, more flexible, and fearless, both on and off the mat and this is something I hope to share with others.  I became a registered yoga teacher (RYT200) through Perennial Wisdom Teacher Training. Like many people, I started doing yoga for the physical benefits and practiced on and off for approximately 10 years. In 2014 a breast cancer diagnosis changed the way I look at life and my yoga practice became an essential part of my recovery. The deeper, more spiritual benefits of yoga began to be revealed.  In my classes, you will experience grounding, foundational poses combined with a dash of power and a dose of inspiration.  I seek to help others thrive in their lives by learning to heal, nourish and nurture their mind, body and soul through a regular yoga practice.

I have been a certified and licensed Registered Dietitian in the state of Wisconsin for over five years. I have been employed in both the clinical and public health setting and have special training in childhood and adolescent weight management.

I am thrilled to join the staff at MadPower by offering nutrition counseling services. I have been working out with Amy (and Jessi!) since 2012 and believe in our “Work hard, play hard” mantra. I want your body image, physique, and healthy food intake to be improved by our work together but also sustainable..

I began attending MadPower classes in the winter of 2014 when I needed something more exciting in my fitness routine! Before MadPower, I focused on kickboxing, bootcamp style workouts, and (my first love) running. Needless to say, I was immediately hooked with the MadPower tribe and intensity (and variety) of the classes! Recently, I've been certified through the MadPower program. In addition, I have completed 5 half marathons & I am currently a MadPower Multisport team member.

I’m Roxy Velazquez and I teach Yoga, Barre, and MadPower! I’m a born and raised Wisconsin gal and a UW-Madison alum (GO BADGERS!) I started as a fellow tribemate when our first studio opened in Verona in August of 2014. I transitioned into one of our fearless leaders in early 2015 teaching just yoga. I loved being in the studio so much that I began branching out and teaching other classes.

In October of 2015, Amy reached out to me to try MadPower. That first visit was “memorable” to say the least! But within a month, Amy was training me to be one of her instructors.

I have completed numerous road races (including the Green Bay marathon and 2 Synttende Mai’s) and mud runs (huge fun!). I have also taught rowing, cycling, kick-boxing, TRX and bootcamps over my 7 years in the fitness industry.

Hi, all! My name is Sarah and I’m a Registered Yoga Teacher (RYT 200) through Perennial Wisdom Teacher Training in Fitchburg. I pursued my yoga practice after contending with injuries related to Hypermobility Syndrome. A few years later, yoga has been and continues to be transformational on a physical and psychological level.

Through teaching, I strive to deliver the calming, yet empowering aspects of yoga to you. Private sessions are designed to develop grounding, focus, self-awareness and strength. Sessions are tailored to your specific aspirations and needs with a focus on hands-on assists and alignment methods. I like to remind everyone that we can have some fun in our practice as well!
